Collaboration and Strategic Alliance with China and overseas universities

One of the directions of IAJMPP is to develop strategic alliance with higher education institutions and professional organisations to create new courses, jobs and career and new business opportunities. Mr. Evert deGraeve has successfully linked up IAJMPP with Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), a renowned design school in the United States, and worked as a bridge in linking up FIT and the Gemmological Institute, China University of Geosciences (CUG, Wuhan). Through IAJMPP’s network, FIT Professor Wendy Yothers was invited as the distinguished keynote speaker in the Wuhan Jewellery Annual Conference at CUG in October 2015. The outcomes of her presentation were great. FIT would like to invite the professors from CUG to exchange their knowledge at their conference in November 2016.

It is hoped that this mutually beneficial relationships between FIT and IAJMPP could facilitate both parties access higher education and professional manpower training market in China. This will create new chance opportunities for overseas design experts, professionals and professors to enter China’s higher education manpower sectors to develop their academic and professional career in design and cultural industries or vice versa.
