IAJMPP and GemsCube joint event on 3D Printing, Shenzhen China, May 2016
A joint event with GemsCube, namely as “You Design, and I Print – 3D Printing Technology Brings a New Era for Jewellery Designing”, was held on 14–17 May 2016 in Shenzhen. This is the first event after IAJMPP has signed the MOU with GemsCube. During this cultural creative industry event, a series of technical demonstrations of the jewellery CAD software, 3D scanning and 3D printing equipment were provided by two supporting companies for visitors to witness and experience the application of these new forms of technology.
Dr Norman Siu has successfully brought forward some entries of 2015 3DESIGN Asia & Oceania Jewelry Design Contest and jewellery designs of the students of the Faculty of Arts and Design from West University of Timişoara, Romania, and displayed together with the 3D printed objects in the exhibition hall.

IAJMPP also held a Forum of “Jewellery Makers’ Preferred 3D Innovative Toolkit and Market Positioning Strategy on the Mass Innovation Platform of Jewellery Design Craftsmanship, CAD, 3D Scanning, 3D Printing Technology” on the 15 May 2016 in GemsCube. The forum was presented by Dr Norman Siu, Mr Bojun Dai, a prominent jewellery designer, and Mr Thomas Ng, Core Member of IAJMPP and CAD specialist of 3Design Software Company of France.
